Residential Services
Choices for Life open in 2010 with a single 3-bedroom home in KCK. In 2011, we expanded to a second 3-bedroom house. We currently have potential to serve 12 people in 4 homes. We keep our homes small, so they feel more like a family setting. Staff is provided based on the individuals level of need. Some of those we support are independent and only need with activities such as taking medication and grocery shopping. However, others do require more support form 24 hour staff to assist with all daily living skills. These include: meal planning, meal prep, support with completing personal hygiene, and keeping up on all medical needs.
Day Services
Our "Day Services" started small in 2015 only serving 5 people. Throughout the last few years and especially 2021, we have expanded our day service and would like to serve 15-20 people daily. We strive to keep our day service small so that we can continue to provide personalized support for each individual. We want to encourage our people and their support team to provide feedback and suggestions on activities they want to see in our day services.
